Idaho Food Bank Fund Announces 2024 Grant Recipients

Thanks to the generosity of Idaho taxpayers, who chose to donate to the Idaho Food Bank Fund, 72 organizations across the state received grants to further their work to solve hunger in Idaho. This is close to double the number of organizations gifted in 2023. The grants – totaling $178,718 – are allocated to help recipients operate programs, purchase food, expand capacity (new freezers, shelving, transportation, etc.), and to promote or provide nutrition education for underserved and marginalized Idahoans.

“Idaho taxpayers can be proud that via the Idaho Food Bank Fund we are collaboratively working towards relieving food insecurity in communities around the state,” said Randy Ford, President and CEO of The Idaho Foodbank. “The Fund is a valuable tool to support local organizations that are working every day to help Idahoans in need.”

You can find the full list of Idaho’s 2024 grant recipients and learn more about the Idaho Food Bank Fund here.

The Idaho Food Bank Fund was established by the Idaho State Legislature in 2009 and provides financial support to Idaho nonprofits. It is administered by Catholic Charities of Idaho and The Idaho Foodbank. The fund is financed by the generosity of the Idaho taxpayers when they donate through a “check off” box on their Idaho State tax returns.
