Idaho Food Bank Fund is Accepting Grant Applications This July
The Idaho Food Bank Fund is now accepting grant applications throughout July from Idaho nonprofits that provide hunger relief and/or promote healthy eating. These grants help organizations cover essential costs such as food purchases, nutrition education materials, program operations, and capacity-building needs like shelving, refrigeration, or transportation.
Last year, grant recipients used these funds in impactful ways:
- Helping Hearts and Hands (Gooding) repaired a hole in their pantry ceiling, allowing them to continue serving their community through the harsh winter months.
 - Food for Our Children (Sandpoint) supported their Weekend Food Program, ensuring children had meals outside of school—similar to a backpack program.
 - Aid for Friends Emergency Shelter (Pocatello) purchased food for their evening hot meals, meeting increased demand after expanding their shelter’s capacity.
 - Troy Community Foodbank (Troy) replaced a 15-year-old refrigerator, preserving more food safely and efficiently.

The Idaho Food Bank Fund was created in 2009 by the Idaho State Legislature and is supported through voluntary donations via the Idaho State tax return check-off. The fund is managed by The Idaho Foodbank in partnership with Catholic Charities of Idaho. Learn more or apply at idahofoodbankfund.org.
