ISU and U of I Tackle Hunger Once Again
Idaho State University and the University of Idaho once again went head-to-head on the field this past Saturday before Thanksgiving. Leading up to the game, the Alumni Associations at each university were bringing in food and monetary donations as part of their collaborative “Tackling Hunger” campaign for The Idaho Foodbank. While Idaho State’s football team may have won on the field on Saturday, University of Idaho alumni had a strong showing during the fundraiser. Together, the schools raised enough money to provide food for up to 6,000 meals to our neighbors in need across the state. In addition to the funds raised, hundreds of pounds of food got donated directly to each of the school’s student pantries. Between Benny’s Pantry and the Vandal Pantry, students will have extra resources available to them throughout the holiday season because of the incredible support from other students, faculty, staff, and alumni at each school.
