Lincoln County Youth Center – Partner Highlight

The Richfield Food Bank is located in southeast Idaho. This Food Bank serves 20-50 families per month as well as 40-60 kids a day in the after-school program at the Lincoln County Youth Center. The Lincoln County Youth Center is an after-school program that is offered for K-12 grade students on Monday through Thursday.
The Richfield Food Bank is in its fourth year at the Lincoln County Youth Center. The help of the Richfield Food Bank makes it possible to feed a full meal every day to the children that attend the Lincoln County Youth Center.
The Richfield Food Bank was previously located at the Richfield School and the school continues to be an important part of its success with an annual food drive competition among the classes to bring in the most nonperishable food items. That food is donated to the Richfield Food Bank to continue serving our community.
Glanbia Nutritionals donates two cases of cheese per month to the Richfield Food Bank. The Richfield Food Bank shared that they also feel lucky to have some amazing partnerships with local farmers and ranchers that donate meat and produce. Without their contributions it would sometimes be hard to have those items to offer community members in need. They also shared their appreciation for a kind member of the community that has been donating eggs, which has made it possible to continue to provide eggs during a time when the cost is high.
The Food Bank also partners with Lincoln County Connections to be able to deliver food boxes to those in need when they do not have the means to make it to the Richfield Food Bank. They were excited to share that they are creating a clothing closet. When their neighbors in need come for food items, they will be able to get clothing and hygiene items, as well.
Thank you to the Richfield Food Bank for the great work you do to support your community!
