Make Every Bite Count

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) recently launched its new MyPlate website to support healthier lifestyles for Americans. The site provides tools, resources and simple recipes to obtain the perfect balance of fruits, veggies, grains, protein and dairy in your daily diet.

During the last fiscal year, The Idaho Foodbank distributed food for over 18 million meals and 85% of that food was considered nutritious based on these USDA guidelines. It is important to note that this was achieved prior to the global pandemic. Regardless of the situation, The Idaho Foodbank is steadfastly committed to providing the people we serve with nutritious food and healthy options. Check out the new website at myplate.gov
