Open Enrollment Closes December 16th

It’s Open Enrollment season, but what does that mean? And what does insurance have to do with your health? Open Enrollment is the time each year when Idahoans can enroll in health insurance. If you are already enrolled, you can make changes to your existing coverage during this time. In Idaho, Open Enrollment is from October 15 – December 16, and Your Health Idaho is the place to shop and compare plans.

But why does it matter? Health insurance covers costs – large and small – from check-ups and prescriptions to emergencies and surgeries. Insurance protects you from unexpected, high medical costs while giving you access to the health benefits you need. In fact, 1 in 5 people without health insurance skip treatment because of costs – all the more reason to seek out health coverage options.
