Partner Conferences in North Central
Last month, The Idaho Foodbank hosted its Annual Partner Conference in Moscow. Held every year, the regional partner conference gathers our food distribution partners serving North and North Central Idaho.
With the theme “Building Healthy Communities Together”, the conference gathered over 60 food distribution and community partners from the region to exchange ideas, gain valuable insights, and learn from one another. Through panels, breakout sessions, and keynote speakers, attendees explored key topics such as The Idaho Foodbank’s statewide initiatives, nutrition education, volunteer recruitment, food safety, grant writing, and innovative ways to address food insecurity in our communities.
One of the most impactful discussions was a partner panel focused on “Scaling for Tomorrow”, exploring how organizations can expand their capacity to meet the growing needs of their communities. Panelists shared insights on novel strategies for increasing food distribution, strengthening infrastructure, and building sustainable programs to address future demand. The discussion highlighted the importance of collaboration, resource sharing, and long-term planning to ensure that as the need for food assistance evolves, our network remains strong and prepared to serve those who rely on us.
Attendees also got a chance to connect with regional groups that provide resources to the community, including Equus Workforce Solutions, Community Action Partnership, Tri-State Health, Public Health District 2, Area Agency on Aging, CHAS Health, Eat Smart Idaho, Reliance Center, and Idaho Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired.
