Before working at The Idaho Foodbank, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?
I worked for the Haagen-Dazs Ice Cream distributor when my kids were young. I was the most popular mom in the neighborhood.
What game show do you think you have the best chance of winning?
Family Feud – I have a son and a sister that are VERY quick witted.
What is your WHY, why do you work at The Idaho Foodbank?
I really like the camaraderie as everyone here seems to enjoy their job. I have been shocked to see how generous our donors are, especially during COVID times. No one should be food insecure.
What lesson are you most grateful for learning?
As a woman growing up in the 70’s I learned how to be independent and Self Sufficient.
In your opinion, what is the most important invention in history?
Penicillin and the Light Bulb.
What is your favorite workday snack?
Anything salty.
What is the kindest thing someone has done for you?
During the Holidays I was shopping for at Trader Joes. The checker noticed my coat and asked if I worked at The Idaho Foodbank. I said Yes! She thanked me for all the work that we do and asked me to wait while she picked out a bouquet of flowers – Pink Zinnias – and gave them to me.
