Sacks for Hunger
We’re grateful to Albertsons and the Boise State Broncos defense for once again teaming up to support Idahoans facing food insecurity through the annual Sacks for Hunger campaign.
For the ninth consecutive season, Albertsons has stepped forward as a champion for hunger relief across Idaho. During each BSU football game, every sack made by the Broncos defense generates a $500 donation from Albertsons to The Idaho Foodbank. Heading into the last home game of the season, the team had recorded 18 sacks. In true Albertsons fashion, they went above and beyond by increasing their total contribution to $20,000 to help ensure families across our state have the nutritious food they need.
This commitment is just one part of Albertsons’ broader, year-round investment in addressing food insecurity. Through their hunger relief programs and in-store campaigns, Albertsons has provided food for more than 3 million meals to Idahoans over the last 30 years. Their dedication strengthens our statewide network of more than 400 partner food pantries and helps ensure children, families, and seniors have consistent access to nourishing food.
