Songwriters from Across the Globe Collaborate on a Record to Raise Funds for The Idaho Foodbank
Imagined by Boise -based Ross Fenner, at Chop Shop Recording Services, ‘We Will Sing for your Supper’ is now available online and in store at Boise’s Record Exchange. The 17-track record is a compilation recording of original songs written by songwriters from as far away as Glasgow, Scotland.
Fenner shares, “I have been looking for a way to give back to the community at large. I decided to create and give all the proceeds of ‘We Will Sing’ album, in perpetuity, to the mission of The Idaho Foodbank and help the organization continue to make a material difference in the lives of our neighbors here in Idaho.”
Locally produced by Andy Agenbroad and Ross Fenner, the 17 songwriters all donated original songs for the recording and the majority of the songs are written specifically for this project. Additionally, six talented session players helped fill arrangements.
Fenner hopes the project promotes more volunteerism and awareness in the local music community and beyond to their audiences and fans. “We are so impressed by the talent and commitment to this project by everyone involved. The work that went into the record is an incredible example of how you can give back to organizations through your talents and interests,” says Morgan Wilson, Chief Development Office at The Idaho Foodbank.
Special thanks to Andy Agenbroad at Chop Shop Recording Services, Steve Fulton at Audio Lab, and The Record Exchange.
