Spotlight: Lamb Weston’s Longstanding Support of Nutrition Education in Idaho
For more than two decades, Lamb Weston has been a steadfast partner in strengthening hunger‑relief efforts across Idaho. Since 2001, the company has contributed more than $800,000 to The Idaho Foodbank, including a recent $100,000 grant dedicated to expanding our Health and Nutrition programs. This support helps fund statewide Cooking Matters classes, nutritious food access, and health resource boxes—resources that empower families with practical skills to make healthy choices.
Lamb Weston’s commitment to community well‑being is reflected not only in its financial support but also in the engagement of leaders like Kim Cupelli, Senior Vice President & General Manager of the Retail Business Unit and North America Marketing, Insights and Innovation, who serves on The Idaho Foodbank’s Board of Directors.
Carrie Cereghino, Coordinator for the Lamb Weston Charitable Foundation, captured the heart of this partnership:
“Giving to The Idaho Foodbank, especially in support of the Nutrition & Education program, means investing in more than just meals; it means investing in knowledge, dignity, and long-term well-being for families in our community.”
With Lamb Weston’s support, The Idaho Foodbank’s Nutrition Education team taught nearly 50 Cooking Matters and nutrition-focused curriculum classes in the past fiscal year, reaching over 700 participants statewide.
We are grateful for Lamb Weston’s continued partnership and the shared commitment to helping Idahoans thrive.
