Staff Spotlight: James Aubertin – Senior Web Development Coordinator, Meridian

Before working at The Idaho Foodbank, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?
“knot bumping” This was one of the jobs on a logging crew and consisted of cleaning up any straggler limbs before logs were loaded on a truck.
What is your WHY, why do you work at The Idaho Foodbank?
I love metrics and the numbers behind them but at the Idaho Foodbank these metrics are real people with real needs. Seeing how many people used the food locator in a given month makes me want to continue to find ways to use technology to help them meet their needs.
What was the most ridiculous impulse purchase you’ve ever made?
Nigerian Dwarf Goats. We were only supposed to “go look”. We were not ready but it was impossible to say no.
My favorite way to spend the day is _______________.
Outdoors with no signal and surrounded by friends and family
What is your greatest personal achievement?
To date, it would have to be raising some great kids that are capable enough to handle anything life throws at them.
What is on your bucket list?
I need to see the pyramids before I die.
