Staff Spotlight – Kelsey Cooper: Community Health Coordinator, Meridian
Before working at The Idaho Foodbank, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?
I was a high school color guard instructor! I taught students how to dance and spin flags, rifles, and sabers. It was a ton of fun with lots of time spent covered in glitter and electrical tape.
What is on your bucket list?
I want to see the northern lights and go to the Merrie Monarch festival.
What is your favorite sport?
I am a huge fan of ice hockey.
Do you have a favorite quote?
It’s from Sarah Kay’s poem “B” – “But I want her to know that the world is made out of sugar. It can crumble so easily but don’t be afraid to stick your tongue out and taste it.”
What TV show/movie are you ashamed to admit you love?
While I am not ashamed to admit that I love “Somebody Feed Phil” on Netflix, I am a little embarrassed that I know the entire theme song by heart and play the air-tambourine when it comes on.
