Supporting our Communities

In our last fiscal year, The Idaho Foodbank served an average of 211,000 people per month. We know that community support is at the heart of our work to help our neighbors facing food insecurity. We continue to collaborate and work together with our food distribution partners and organizations across our state to lift up our neighbors who are struggling.

The Idaho Foodbank has several opportunities to support our neighbors during February and build stronger, healthier communities:

In February the “Share Your Love,” campaign, presented by Bank of America, lets you donate to The Idaho Foodbank in the name of a loved one. A $25 donation gets a heart on our heart wall, and a $50 donation includes a heart and an entry for a jewelry drawing and ballet tickets from Simmons Fine Jewelry in Meridian.

On February 14, Dutch Bros in Pocatello and Lewiston will be hosting their annual Dutch Luv fundraiser. For every drink sold that day, $1 will be donated to The Idaho Foodbank, supporting our hunger relief efforts in East and North Idaho. The following locations are participating – so stop by for a delicious drink and an opportunity to support hunger relief!

Dutch Bros Participating Locations:

  • 4010 Yellowstone Ave, Pocatello
  • 719 Bridge St, Clarkston, WA 99403
  • 1617 E Main St, Lewiston, ID 83501
  • 143 Thain Rd, Lewiston, ID 83501

The Pocatello Rotary Club is also offering a unique way to make a difference while dreaming of your next adventure. Their “Dinner for Two Anywhere in the World” Sweepstakes gives participants a chance to win airfare, lodging, and a dining experience at their dream destination (up to $5000 in value). The winner will be drawn on February 22nd, and half of all proceeds from the fundraiser will be donated directly to The Idaho Foodbank, helping to expand our impact and provide critical resources across the region. Lastly, thanks to generous donations from Dan and Kathy Boespflug, Andrew and Dani Boespflug, Lea and Harmon Kong, the Andre Agassi Foundation for Education, Kris and Nelson Betty, and Trisha Sears, your donation this month will be matched dollar for dollar up to $100,000, supporting our children’s programs. This includes our School Pantry and our Backpack programs.

We are deeply grateful for these partnerships, and we hope you’ll take advantage of one of these opportunities during February to help strengthen the community and provide nourishment to Idahoans.
