Turkey Time in Pocatello!

During this holiday season we appreciate the generosity in communities across the state. There are multiple ways to donate frozen turkeys to help with The Idaho Foodbank’s Thanksgiving food distribution in Pocatello this year.

The Pocatello Police Department is hosting the 6th annual Give the Cops a Bird Turkey Drive. This food drive will support The Idaho Foodbank. You can participate by bringing a frozen turkey to the Pocatello Police Department for donation. Individuals can also make a monetary donation for Give the Cops a Bird at the Police Department.

The Cranksgiving Turkey Drive in Pocatello puts a healthy and fun “spin” on enjoying your bike and giving back for Thanksgiving. You can donate a frozen turkey to either Barrie’s Ski and Sports at 624 Yellowstone Avenue or The Idaho Foodbank at 555 S 1st Ave. now until the morning of November 22nd.

On November 23rd, you can join the bike ride from Barrie’s Ski and Sports to The Idaho Foodbank warehouse to ceremonially deliver the final turkeys. The ride begins at 10:00am. There will be a big crowd, so come early and help celebrate this generous Pocatello community.

After the collection is complete, food boxes consisting of a turkey, potatoes, green beans, stuffing, and other holiday food will be distributed to Eastern Idaho families in need.
