About

The campaign will operate similar to Million Meals in March by encouraging various law firms and individuals (entities) to create their own fundraising page to compete with each other to meet a $50k match. We only want to track total dollars raised by each entity and display the statewide results on the main event page leaderboard.
We envision:
A Registration Page including event description and sign up instructions (including logo size requirements, key dates, and reminders) and a form for participants to submit who they are, why they are participating, and what their fundraising goal is (essentially all the things they want on their webpage). When a registration is complete, Dalton, Adrienne, and Amy L. would like to be notified via the email system. Additionally, we will have a registration confirmation email that we would like the participant to receive.

An Event Page that is the beating heart of the campaign. We want it to include a thermometer to track the online gifts. Visually, it would be nice to have a "completed" static thermometer representing the match pool and then an "active" dynamic thermometer that tracks online giving next to it. In addition, we would like to list out top participants and their funds raised in a leaderboard. We anticipate wanting to split the leaderboard into two segments for large and small participants. Here, we would also like a master calendar displaying the public events being hosted during the campaign.

Individual Fundraising Pages with online giving thermometers to track team progress and also a second calendar or list of dates for internal campaign events being hosted by that team.

CALENDARS: In order to reduce the amount of back and forth between participants and web development, it is our intention for Dalton to collect all calendar events both internal and external leading up to the campaign. Rather than making multiple adjustments leading up, Dalton can provide the spreadsheet of all calendar events one week before the campaign start.

With the live tracking thermometer, the only updates throughout the campaign that will need to be manually entered are updating the leaderboard each week and accounting for any cash or check donations not represented on the thermometer, and also adding in any additional events that materialize once the campaign has started. We are structuring this to have minimal upkeep.
