Sportsmen Against Hunger Poker Run
JD Johnston
Hello everyone and Happy New Year. It is time again to gear up for the Annual Sportsmen Against Hunger poker run. Once again, we will be holding the event at the Chubbuck CAL Store. We have the date set for Saturday January 27th, 2018 starting at 9am-4pm.
The groups that participated last year were;
CAL Store
Southeast Idaho Fly Fishers
Ducks Unlimited
Idaho Fish & Game
National Wild Turkey Federation
Pocatello Field Archers
Idaho Food Bank
RMEF
Backcountry Horsemen
Pheasants Forever
We would enjoy seeing everyone back this year. We are asking all groups if possible to donate something to the prize table for the Poker Run. Also, we are asking groups not to do separate raffles at their tables. Please feel free to promote your groups and display any items that may be available at your banquets but no raffle sales at your tables.
We would like to possibly get more groups involved so if anyone has any suggestions please contact JD @ 208-709-55233.
We also had the idea about doing some demonstrations during the event to draw more people in. Maybe duck, elk calling. Possibly pack saddle demo etc. If any of you have any thoughts let JD or Kevin 208-237-1670 know.
Thank you, JD Johnston
