Thank you, Denise Chuckovich!
Denise Chuckovich retired from The Idaho Foodbank’s Board this summer after serving on the Board for the past 10 years. Denise has been a long time champion and advocate for building collaborations to impact the connection between hunger and overall health. She served as a leader in The Foodbank’s nutrition education programming and working with Idaho’s Medical Association in recognizing hunger as a determinate of health. Denise was also instrumental in The Foodbank’s move to increase our distribution of food that is nutritious.
Prior to her time on The Idaho Foodbank Board, she had been the Deputy Director of the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare. During her forty-year career she worked in health care, social services, and public policy. Her areas of focus included community health centers, access to health and mental health services for low income, and uninsured populations. In her retirement, she has enjoyed spending time with her 3 grandchildren and travel.
We appreciate Denise’s service and impact on The Idaho Foodbank!
