Working Together During the Holidays and Throughout the Year
Micron is a strong supporter of The Idaho Foodbank and our mission. In the last 12 months, over 1,300 Micron Employees donated 2,590 volunteer hours to The Idaho Foodbank.
In the month of October, The Idaho Foodbank came to Micron’s headquarters in Boise during their Star Light Volunteer Month. Over 800 Micron employees donated or packed nearly 116,000 pounds of food and assembled 2,000 snack kits for local students and families. The volunteers at Micron had a great time making snack packs and we appreciate their enthusiasm and dedication to supporting the community.
In November, just in time for the holidays, Micron employees also donated 1,330 turkeys and 552 hams to The Idaho Foodbank. This is part of an annual tradition where Micron employees receive a turkey or ham in celebration of Thanksgiving, and they can choose to donate the meats to The Foodbank.
Since 2011, Micron has delivered more than 260,000 pounds of food – enough to provide over 199,000 meals to Idaho residents.
