July is Beef Month in Idaho

We appreciate our partnership with the Idaho Beef Council and the rest of the Idaho beef industry for their on-going support. When we think of July, we usually think of hot weather, swimming, fireworks and backyard barbecues. From barbecues, it is just a short jump to thinking about beef – and July is Beef Month in Idaho!

Community Health Coordinator – Meridian

This position is responsible for coordinating Foodbank efforts to improve the health of Idahoans experiencing food insecurity. This position will cultivate and implement collaborative projects and foster relationships that support community health and health equity through partnerships with healthcare organizations, The Foodbank community partner network, community leaders and stakeholders, and vulnerable communities. Requires a clear understanding of the social determinants of health, the health needs of Idaho communities, and forward thinking to develop impactful connections and solutions for creating a hunger free and healthier Idaho.

Idaho Food Bank Fund 2022 Grant Applications Start July 1

The Idaho Food Bank Fund announced today that its 2022 grant application process is open between July 1 and July 31, 2022 to Idaho 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations that provide nutrition awareness, promote healthy eating or relieve hunger. Funds can be used to operate programs; purchase food; purchase nutrition education materials; expand capacity (new freezers, shelving, transportation, etc); or promote access for anyone in need, including underserved and/or marginalized populations.

Warehouse Supervisor (Operations Support Supervisor) – Lewiston

The Operations Support Supervisor is responsible for the North Central Idaho branch warehouse, distribution activities and is the primary, first line supervisor of warehouse staff and delivery drivers in day-to-day operations. This includes management of equipment and facilities maintenance scheduling, AIB and food safety compliance, and logging of work orders into our Maintenance Care (CMMS System).

The Loaves & Fishes pantry has been operating in Council, Idaho for about 12 years. Once each month, approximately 10 enthusiastic volunteers work as a team to provide food to their neighbors.
