The McVey Entertainment group hosts a Back To School Radio-thon to promote the Backpack and School Pantry programs in North Central Idaho. TriState Health powers the day with information from their Nutrition team explaining why children need healthy food to learn and grow. ZROCK, the River and The Canyon Radio station's DJ's speak from the talking points about Children's hunger/nutrition and how the programs benefit kids in North Central. DJ’s/IFB/guests ask listeners to check out their FACEBOOK page or deliver donations to the cause.

Back to school resource fair for all Lewiston School district and families. We will have a variety of resource tables offering information from public, private, and nonprofit organizations. CHAS mobile unit will be offering immunizations, scheduling for dental and sports physicals/ medical appointments. Also joining is Equus with job resources, Tri-State health, Valley Medical, Snake River Clinic and more. Come and check out the HUB for community resources, free haircuts, tour the food pantry and clothing closet. A food demo and a produce mobile offered from the Idaho Foodbank. Free hotdogs and soda will be available.

Molinelli’s Jewelers will host their 4th annual “Rock the Block” block party on Saturday, August 9 in Pocatello. The evening will include live music as well as food, beverages, giveaways, raffles and more from 6:00-10:00 p.m. on the 100 and 200 blocks of North Main Street in Downtown Pocatello. Proceeds from the event will be donated to The Idaho Foodbank. Come enjoy a fun night downtown while supporting the local community!

The Human Bean in Treasure Valley is hosting its Annual Food Drive on Friday, August 8. On this special day, one dollar for every drink sold will be donated to The Idaho Foodbank to support food assistance programs locally.

While many food distribution centers receive donations during the holidays, hunger doesn’t know a season. So each year, The Human Bean opts to host a giveback event during the summer months when pantry stocks are generally low and the need is greater. Last year, all of The Human Bean locations across the U.S. were able to collectively fund the equivalent of 202,998 meals!

Customers are invited to visit The Human Bean on August 8 and raise a cup to fight hunger. Your drink purchases on this day have the power to make someone else’s day easier, healthier, and better!

The Idaho Foodbank Music Festival is coming back for its 4th year! This year we are taking the party to Idaho Falls. Mark your calendars for a fun evening of music as we fight hunger in our community. Join us on August 2nd with our friends The Opskamatrists, Andrea Alonso, and Paige Anne as well as local food vendors and representitives of The Idaho Foodbank to take donations.

Nutrition Education Specialist, Cecilia Watson, and Volunteer Programs Coordinator, Shaela Schenk, are teaming up for a 1-hour session on healthy eating and how healthy nutrition impacts hungry Idahoans.
