A Chefs’ Affaire
Soon, some of Idaho’s most celebrated chefs and vintners will come together to delight you with culinary creativity and an evening of fun and generosity. Are you ready? Here’s what you need to know before you go:
Doors Open: 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 4, 2023. Cocktail hour includes local chef appetizers, silent auction, raffle, wine tastings, and bar.
Dinner is Served: 7 p.m. and includes special evening of live auctions, stories of impact and more.
Attire: Semi-formal and Formal attire
What: A fine-dining experience (see menu below). Vegetarian, gluten-free, and dairy-free meal options are available upon request.
Where: Boise Centre West, 850 West Front Street, Boise (View parking options here). Entrance is on the Grove Plaza.
COCKTAIL HOUR – APPETIZERS:
Appetizer: Trout on Crostini
Campfire Idaho Rainbow Trout on sourdough crostini with huckleberry aioli and dill.

Appetizer: Lamb and Potato
Grilled lamb lollipop and piperade, potato cream and basque tximitxurri sauce.

Appetizer: Chickpea Falafel
Chickpea falafel with spicy beetroot hummus, roasted maui onions, garlic confit, sauteed mushrooms, and cilantro served over a grain free sesame cracker.

Salad: Bibb Lettuce and Radicchio Salad
Bibb lettuce and radicchio salad, spiced poached pear, candied pecans, goat cheese, micro bulls blood, cranberry-mustard vinaigrette.

Main Course: 6 oz. Snake River Farms New York Waygu Steak
6 oz. Snake River Farms New York Waygu Steak topped with Roasted Pepper Chimichurri, Caramelized Shallot mashed potatoes, balsamic reduction, and caulilini.

January tends to be a time when donation decrease after the holidays, making it a critical period to support our North Central- Idaho Food Bank and help meet the ongoing needs within our community! 7 Cares Idaho Shares is an annual day of giving that started in 2008, put on by Channel 7. KTVB is asking for donations on their broadcasts leading up to the event, and will be reporting live from the donation locations the morning of December 9th. All donations of cash and non-perishable food items will go to help select charities keep their shelves fully stocked and purses full during the winter months when the need for food, shelter, and aid increases. The different charities will be accepting donations at Albertsons and Fred Meyer locations across the Treasure Valley and in Twin Falls. Donations of both food and cash can be taken at all locations.
A popular competition between two KPVI staffers is back this year! This is the seventh annual Drive Away Hunger event. Our very own Matt Davenport and Doug Iverson will be joining Cole Nissan Kia and Cole Chevrolet to collect non-perishable items at Fred Meyer located at 800 Yellowstone Ave in Pocatello on Friday, December 8th from 4 to 6 p.m. Help determine the winner of this friendly competition by swinging into Fred Meyer's and picking up a few extra items to donate to our local Idaho Foodbank warehouse.
