Subaru Share The Love Event

Sponsored by:Phil Meador Subaru

The Subaru Share the Love Event is entering its 19th year for Subaru of America, Inc. During the 2026 Subaru Share the Love event, for every new vehicle purchased or leased, Subaru will donate $250 when the purchaser chooses one or more of the participating charities. Additionally, participating retailers will donate $50 or more to their selected hometown charity or charities for every new vehicle purchased or leased. Over the past 18 years of the event, Subaru and our retailers have made a real impact, donating over $345 million to a wide range of both national and local charities. For the last thirteen years, Subaru retailers have been able to select a hometown charity to receive donations, in addition to the national charities.

This year, Phil Meador Subaru in Pocatello has selected The Idaho Foodbank as it's participating charity here locally! We look forward continuing the hometown charity program this year to help increase the impact the Subaru Share the Love Event is making in local communities across the country!

Light The World Giving Machine Initiative - Pocatello

Sponsored by:The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

Upload Event Logo

This holiday season, The Idaho Foodbank is honored to be selected as one of five local charities participating in the Light the World Giving Machine Initiative, sponsored by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Giving Machines take the traditional vending machine concept and turn it into an interactive donation kiosk. Instead of snacks or drinks, community members can purchase tangible items - such as senior meals, weekend backpacks for school kids, and food pantry supplies - to directly support local families in need. Best of all, 100% of every dollar donated goes directly to participating charities. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints covers all administrative, operational, and credit card processing expenses. Since launching in 2017, the Light the World Giving Machine initiative has raised nearly $70 million for humanitarian aid worldwide across 126 cities and 21 countries. Every swipe of a card helps lift individuals both here in East Idaho and around the globe.

This year, the Pocatello segment of the East Idaho rotation will again be hosted at the ICCU Headquarters in Chubbuck, ID. (4400 Central Way). The event will run daily from November 14 – November 29 during the hours of 11:00am - 9:00pm.

In East Idaho, 1 in 7 community members faces food insecurity, including 1 in 5.5 children. The Idaho Foodbank works with over 150 local partner organizations in East Idaho to feed nearly 44,000 people across the region every month. When you visit a Giving Machine kiosk, you can choose specific ways to support your East Idaho neighbors:

$12: Provides a weekend food backpack for a local schoolchild.
$25: Delivers 50 meals to local seniors.
$27: Covers the cost of the mobile pantry program for one person in a rural community.
$43: Stocks a local school pantry for a week.
$76: Procures 500 lbs. of meat for families in need.

Stop by the kiosks to learn more, meet representatives, and show your support during these key dates:

Fri, Nov 13: Ribbon Cutting Ceremony - 6:00 PM
Sun, Nov 15: Idaho Foodbank Dedicated Day - Representative on-site at Kiosk #2
Thu, Nov 20: Idaho Foodbank Dedicated Day - Representative on-site at Kiosk #2
Wed, Nov 25: Idaho Foodbank Dedicated Day - Representative on-site at Kiosk #2
Sun, Nov 29: Closing Celebration - 6:00 PM

We can't wait to see you there!

Tackling Hunger with the Bengals and Vandals

Sponsored by:Idaho State University, University of Idaho

Join Idaho State University and University of Idaho in supporting The Idaho Foodbank’s vision of a Hunger-Free Idaho! Each year, the football teams go head to head on the field in a friendly school rivalry game the Saturday before Thanksgiving. But, off the field, both schools are teaming up to bring in donations for The Idaho Foodbank!

This year, throughout the month of November leading up to the game on the 21st, participate in a statewide collaboration to support our mission of a hunger-free Idaho. Whether you’re a student, faculty, alumni, or a community member, any and all donations will help provide food to people in need across the state. Plus, you can represent your school of choice by selecting it on the donation page!

Throughout the week of the game, there will be food drop-off locations around both campuses for any physical donation items. And, again, for monetary donations, just pick your school by selecting it on this page before making a donation!
