7 Cares Idaho Shares is an annual day of giving that started in 2008, put on by Channel 7. KTVB is asking for donations on their broadcasts leading up to the event, and will be reporting live from the donation locations the morning of December 13th. All donations of cash and non-perishable food items will go to help select charities keep their shelves fully stocked and purses full during the winter months when the need for food, shelter, and aid increases. The different charities will be accepting donations at various locations across the Treasure Valley and in Twin Falls. Donations of both food and cash can be taken at all locations.

The bowls are back in Towne! This year, The Idaho Foodbank's annual Empty Bowls sale will be held in-person at Boise Towne Square on December 5th - 6th from 12:00 pm - 6:00 pm each day.

Giving Tuesday is a global day of generosity that inspires people everywhere to do good, and at The Idaho Foodbank it’s a powerful opportunity to help ensure our neighbors across Idaho have access to the nutritious food they need, especially during the busy holiday season. This year, every dollar donated on Giving Tuesday will be matched up to $20,000, thanks to the generosity of The Chalfant Family and friends of the Foodbank, doubling your impact for children, families, and seniors facing hunger in communities large and small. By joining the movement, you’re helping to spread generosity, support stability for Idahoans, and make a meaningful difference across our state.

Join Idaho State University and University of Idaho in supporting The Idaho Foodbank's vision of a Hunger-Free Idaho! Each year, the football teams go head to head on the field in a friendly school rivalry game the Saturday before Thanksgiving. But, off the field, there's another friendly rivalry going on - which school can bring in more donations for The Idaho Foodbank!
This year, starting Monday, November 17th and going through gameday on Saturday, November 22nd, help prove once and for all which is the better institution by making a donation on their behalf! Whether you're a student, faculty, alumni, or a community member, any and all donations will help provide food to people in need across the state. Plus, there will be some fun rivalry side bets (announcement coming soon!) that depend on which school wins!
Throughout the week, there will be food drop-off locations around both campuses for any physical donation items. And for monetary donations, just pick your school on this page before making a donation!
Come visit The Idaho Foodbank's booth at Cathedral of the Rockies' Alternative Christmas Market! This market features unique and handcrafted gifts supporting local nonprofits. The Alternative Christmas Market will be open from 11 am - 3 pm on November 15 and 9:30 am - 12:30 pm on November 16.

Scouting for Food, hosted by Scouting America, is one of Idaho’s largest annual food drives. Volunteers across the Treasure, Magic, and Wood River Valley will pick up food from designated neighborhoods. If you find a door hanger at your house on November 1st, you can leave a donation outside your front door for the Scouts to pick up on November 8th. If you don't receive a door hanger, you can still donate at one of the drop-off sites listed below.

Community members across Bannock County will have a chance throughout November to drop off non-perishable food items at many of the county facilities, with all donations being provided to The Idaho Foodbank! The county will have food drive barrels at the Courthouse, The Village, Planning & Development, and the Sheriff's, Assessor's, Events Complex, Road & Bridge, and Fort Hall Mine Landfill Offices.
All donations go to support our neighbors in need across the region, so come show your support by dropping off some food!
