Stamp Out Hunger 2026

Sponsored by:National Association of Letter Carriers

Upload Event Logo

Every second Saturday in May, letter carriers in more than 10,000 cities and towns across America head out on their routes to collect donations of non-perishable food items as part of the Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive — the largest one-day food drive in the nation. Led by letter carriers represented by the National Association of Letter Carriers (AFL-CIO), with help from rural letter carriers, other postal employees and other volunteers, the drive has delivered more than 1.82 billion pounds of food to hunger relief organizations across the United States in the past 30 years.

You can help! To donate, just place a box or can of non-perishable food next to your mailbox before your letter carrier delivers mail on May 9, 2026. You can also drop off nonperishable food donations at the following United States Post Office locations:

Main: 770 S 13th St, Boise, ID 83708
Cole: 3485 N Cole Rd, Boise, ID 83704
Five Mile: 1350 S Five Mile Rd, Boise, ID 83709

Empty Bowls

Sponsored by:Pocatello Arts Council

Empty Bowls is a meaningful community event that brings people together to share a simple meal and take action against hunger in our region. Guests will enjoy a handcrafted bowl, a warm and nourishing meal, and the opportunity to connect with others who care deeply about ensuring our neighbors have access to food. Each bowl serves as a powerful reminder that while the meal ends, hunger does not.

100% of the proceeds from Empty Bowls directly benefit The Idaho Foodbank, helping provide nutritious food to children, families, seniors, and individuals facing food insecurity across Eastern Idaho. Every ticket purchased helps fund meals, support pantry partners, and strengthen programs that serve our community year-round.

By attending Empty Bowls, guests are not only enjoying a meaningful and memorable experience—they are making a tangible difference. It’s an opportunity to stand alongside neighbors, support a vital cause, and be part of the solution to hunger in Idaho.
