Alina Rahim – Eastern Idaho Superstar

The Idaho Foodbank is proud to celebrate one of its youngest volunteers, Alina Rahim, recipient of the Gov. Cecil D. Andrus Volunteer of the Year award. Presented by the Idaho Nonprofit Center in partnership with Serve Idaho, the Governor’s Commission on Service and Volunteerism, Alina Rahim of Pocatello was recognized for her volunteer contributions in eastern Idaho.

Boise State Partners With Riverence Provisions to Donate 50,000 Pounds of Frozen Trout

Boise State has partnered with Riverence Provisions of Buhl, Idaho, to distribute 50,000 pounds of frozen, restaurant-quality trout to the local community. The distribution, in partnership with the College of Southern Idaho and the Idaho Foodbank, will take place in Boise State’s West Stadium parking lot from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 19, or while supplies last.

The Idaho Foodbank’s mission is to feed, educate and advocate for Idaho’s hungry. The success and statewide expansion that the organization has experienced in the last 36 years would not be possible without the generous giving spirit that is inherent in all Idahoans. The organization takes that stewardship very seriously with 94% of all donations going to programs that directly serve people in our communities.
