Scouting for Food is one of Idaho’s largest food drives and is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 14th, 2020. Last weekend the Boy Scouts also dropped off bags in neighborhoods from Buhl to Ontario, Oregon. The troops and volunteers will start picking up these filled bags at 9:00 AM this Saturday. To donate to the Scouting for Food Drive, donors can leave non-perishable and canned food in bags near the front door of their home.
Members of the public are also encouraged to drop off food donations from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM this Saturday, November 14 at specific locations in Boise, Meridian, McCall, Mountain Home, Payette, Twin Falls and the Wood River Valley. (Click title for location information)
This year’s Stomp Out Hunger campaign runs from November 6 through November 16 at all Stinker Stores in Idaho. Donate $1.00 with your purchase and Stinker will match it! Just $1 can help provide the food for 5 meals for hungry Idahoans. Stores will be competing to raise the most funds, with a celebration of the final gift coming at the end of the month.
